Enrollment at AIS is open to children of all nationalities who meet the School entrance requirement outlined herein

A. PLACEMENT TESTS

All students applying to AIS must sit for a placement test. Placement tests can be completed in less than two (2) hours, and give general levels of achievement in English, Math and Arabic. Grade placement is influenced by the results of these tests. No preparation is required for these tests. the design of the test takes into account the fact that many students taking them may have been on holiday for a few months.

Placement tests are administered during the months of April, May, June and September. Students who arrive midyear will sit for placement tests upon their arrival.

The following documents are required before placement test is done.

1. Duly filled Admission Application Form.
2. Most recent Report Card.
3. A Recommendation Letter from the previous school

  OR

4. Duly filled Discipline Inquiry Form( Form available in our school)

B. TUITION FEES

C. REGISTRATION– (Enrollment/ School Bus)

Registration Deposit Fee

1. A one-time deposit fee of Dhs 1000/- per child must be paid for reserving continued education at AIS. This amount will be kept as a deposit during attendance at AIS.

2. A one-time deposit fee of Dhs 1000/- per child must be paid for reserving the continued transportation service, offered by AIS. This amount will be kept as a deposit during the usage of transportation provided by the school.

Refund Policy of Registration Deposit Fee

The registration deposit fee will be fully refunded when any one of the following conditions is fulfilled:

1. Request for a transfer certificate for all zones for the next academic year is processed prior to May 31.

2. Request for a transfer certificate for the current academic year is processed to an institution outside the Abu Dhabi Educational Zone.

3. When a student graduates from AIS.

4. The student is advised to leave by the AIS administration.

D. DOCUMENTS

The registration of the child in the school will be complete only upon receipt of the following documents.

1. PHOTO
   
   
   • Five (5) passport size color photographs.


2. PASSPORT COPIES
   
   
   • Copy of student valid passport with residence visa. (If residence visa is still being processed then the passport copy must show immigration entry stamp.)
   • Copy of father/Sponsor's valid passport with residence visa. (If residence visa is still being processed then the passport copy must show immigration entry stamp.)


3. BIRTH CERTIFICATE (Original Birth Certificate)
   
   
   • If the birth certificate is issued in the UAE, GCC countries, USA, Canada, Australia, or West European Countries attestation is not required.
   • If the birth certificate is issued in a country other than above, the student’s original birth certificate should be attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Embassy of UAE in that country.à If the birth certificate is issued in a country other than above, the student’s original birth certificate should be attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Embassy of UAE in that country.
   • The birth certificate should be either in English or Arabic, if not; birth certificate should be legally translated.


4. ORIGINAL SCHOOL REPORT( The latest original school report, signed and stamped by the issuing school)


5. TRANSFER CERTIFICATE(Original Transfer Certificate signed and stamped by the issuing school)
   
   
   • Issued in UAE, it should be attested by Educational Zone.
   • For GCC nationals the transfer certificate should be attested by Ministry of Education.
   • If the Transfer Certificate is issued in USA, Canada, Australia or West European Country attestation is not required.
   • If the Transfer Certificate is issued in a country other than above it should be attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Embassy of UAE in that country.
   • All the Transfer Certificate should be either in English or Arabic, if not, Transfer Certificate should be legally translated.
   
   
6. COPY OF VACCINATION RECORD

N.B. The school textbooks are issued only, when the above, 1 to 6, are provided and the first tuition payment is received.
